Sulaxchya’s Story Map: Privilege in Perspective

This project reflects on the contrast between my old school in a refugee camp and my current education at the College of Wooster. My goal was to emphasize that being able to go to school is a privilege, as many people, especially in refugee camps, still lack access to basic education. I also highlighted a few areas for improvement at Wooster, specifically focusing on enhancing inclusivity for all students.

  1. Hey Sulaxchya! The concept you created was wonderful to see. I like your photos and how it was a comparative analysis of privilege in different places geographically. To improve your story map, I suggest adding a quick transcription of the text and creating a navigation bar at the top. My text and yours is similar, as we use a lot of information and photos to capture our stories. To increase accessibility, I suggest including a short snippet or summary of what each section will consist of so those that can’t see well can possibly hear the information. Lastly, a navigation bar with different sections at the top could help viewers assess each part of your story. Overall, great job but I suggest adding a few minor things!

  2. Hey! Thank you so much for the feedback! I really appreciate your suggestions about adding a transcription and a navigation bar; they’ll definitely help with accessibility. I’ll keep these in mind for future projects!
