This image is a selfie that I took at the height of confidence after struggling with terrible acne I took this photo without a filter to show the progress and consistency with my acne journey. I did a light edit on the image so that it didn’t alter the intention and message image as much and one could see the authenticity with the photo. Using photshop I changed the levels and curves of the image and increased the saturation to make my acne visible.
This selfie was taken in the airport. I believe the picture reflects feeling of hiding. Covering the eyes so as to cover the real feelings. My hands and nails. In editing this piece, I increased the saturation, blurred the background and sharpened my hands so as to put more emphasis on them and take away from my face. Abstractly, my hands are the are art in this photo not my face not there background
This selfie is quite recent I take into the account I do not have acne as much as I used to. It shows the confident and fierceness that is presented in this photo.I used photoshop again to put more emphasis my face as the center of this image. In editing this photo I brightened the photo, increased the saturation and cropped the background so my face would be the central focus.
I really liked that you covered your eyes to “cover the real feelings”. I think that’s what connects these three pictures and shows the type of person you are on a more emotional level.
Covering your eyes as to cover your feelings provides an even deeper meaning to your photos. Thank you for being vulnerable in your creativity 🙂
I really enjoyed your pictures. Your openness about your past struggles with acne is very relatable to me, as I’ve faced similar challenges. Additionally, I find the way you cover your eyes to hide your “true feelings” to be aesthetic.
