Hongqing Guo, Project 1: Image

This is the most recent picture I took myself I intentionally projected a serious expression when taking this photo, aiming to represent my facial features clearly and realistically. Furthermore I had used photoshop to adjusting the mouth and eyes to create a serious yet natural look. By doing this, I aim to ensure that my identity is properly verified by facial recognition throughout the transfer of funds from my US bank account to China. This additional layer of identity verification is intended to increase the security and authenticity of transactions and demonstrate my commitment to complying with required procedures.

This image captures a moment when I was engrossed in playing the cello, reflecting my profound connection with music. To further emphasize the visual impact, I used photoshop to enhance the lighting. I increased the exposure in certain areas of the image, while also applying a subtle blur effect at my right hand, creating a heightened sense of movement and intensity. Through these edits, I aimed to convey the powerful emotions and dedication that I pour into my musical pursuits.

In this image, I proudly display pants I made myself, highlighting my strong interest in fashion design. The words on my clothes, changed from “thinking differently” to “being different,” mean a lot to me. They show how I want to change normal ideas, celebrate being one-of-a-kind, and embrace my individuality. This idea really speaks to me and inspires my creative endeavors and the way I want others to see me. I employed Photoshop to cut myself from the original photo and paste it onto my hand, which covers the phone. This was my way of showing my desire for control over my life. Furthermore, I extended the length of my pants using Photoshop to symbolize that my creativity last over time.

  1. I am very impressed with your last picture, where you show your creativity. The pants are very cool. Moreover, I like how you edited the picture to be darker as it matches your whole outfit and vibe. Good job!
