Image posting tips

Remember that you have several options when it comes to posting your Image projects:

  1. Use the Block editor, then the + icon (which should appear towards the bottom right of the page) to choose the type of block you’d like to use. Here again you have choices: Image, Media + Text, Columns (recommended, since this option allows you to embed the image, together with its caption, directly into the page).
  2. Embed: if you prefer to create your image project within a Canva file, Word doc, etcetera, then save the Word file as a PDF and then add an Embed block, which will allow you to share the PDF directly within this blog (we hope! Let us know if this does not seem to work).
  3. Use the Classic Editor if you want to keep things simple and just add your images and text within one page.

Whichever option you choose, remember to include captions! If you are using the Block or Classic editors, the easiest way to do this is to upload your images to the Media area (left hand menu of the Dashboard), then add the metadata (alt text and caption).

Welcome!

Welcome to our course blog! This is where you will post reflections on course topics as well as your digital projects so that you have a collective audience (our class) rather than just an audience of one (your professor).

You’ll also read each other’s posts and enjoy each other’s projects, so this blog will serve as a great way to get to know each other, showcase your interests and creativity, and share your ideas–while strengthening your writing and creativity at the same time.
